The seventh edition of the Valencia Cup Girls now has confirmed dates and registration is open
The international youth women's football tournament will take place from 25 to 28 March 2027
The Valencia Cup Girls will reach its seventh edition in 2027. The tournament already has its dates confirmed: from 25 to 28 March. The former Turia Riverbed, one of the main arteries of the city's sporting life, leisure and healthy lifestyle, will continue to be the main venue for this international youth women's football tournament, organised by the Sportea Association with the support of Valencian institutions including Valencia City Council, the Provincial Council and the Generalitat Valenciana.
Team registration is now open for participants, who will experience a tournament built on pillars such as sport during the formative years; bringing together clubs and players, coaching staffs and accompanying family members from different parts of Spain and various countries around the world; serving as a framework for sports tourism in the province; and the combination of all these elements as a source of experiences.
The registration process is straightforward and can be completed through the official Valencia Cup Girls website under the “Register” section, while complete information about the competition is available beforehand in the “Tournament” section.
In the latest edition, held in 2026, nearly 600 players took part, coming from ten different countries: Mexico, the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Italy, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, England and Spain. Seventy per cent of the participating teams were international. The tournament is divided into age-group categories across 11-a-side and 8-a-side football, promoting the sport from the development stages, while also recognising and highlighting pioneers and role models from different generations of football through the traditional “Role Models” match.
The Valencia Cup Girls is already looking ahead to 2027 and its seventh edition, with the aim of continuing to grow both in terms of participation from Spanish teams from all parts of the country and in surpassing the tournament’s international figures. With registration now open, contenders for each category title will begin confirming their participation. In 2026, the winners were: Arrels, a team made up of players from clubs and/or localities affected by the DANA floods, claimed the Under-19 trophy; Germany’s FFC Turbine Potsdam won the Under-16 title; Norway’s NSU Norsk Spillerutvikling secured victory in the Under-14 category; and in the 8-a-side format, the Under-12 title went to UE L’Alcudia, which also topped the overall standings.
The tournament received the support of Valencia City Council and its Municipal Sports Foundation, the Provincial Council of Valencia and its Sports and Tourism departments, and the Sports Department of the Generalitat Valenciana and Comunitat de l’Esport. In the private sector, the competition also enjoys the backing of Kappa and Prime.
