Finals Set for Valencia Cup Girls 2026
An action-packed Saturday saw the completion of the group stage and the semi-finals of the international girls’ youth football tournament
It was an intense Saturday at the Valencia Cup Girls 2026. The international girls’ youth football tournament, organised by Asociación Sportea, reached its third day with a full schedule of matches. The morning session wrapped up the group stages, while the afternoon featured the semi-finals, confirming the line-up for the finals of this sixth edition of the competition, held in the Turia Gardens at the municipal venues of Serranos, Pont de Fusta, Tramo II and Tramo VIII.
All finals will take place this Sunday, April 5. In the G12 (8-a-side) category, UE L’Alcudia and Valencia CF Féminas will face off in the final, kicking off at 9:00am at CD Serranos. At the same venue, from 10:15am, Norway’s NSU Norsk Spillerutvikling will take on the Ribera Alta side in the G14 final.
Later, on the same pitch at 11:30am, Ireland’s Kerry Schoolgirls will compete in the G16 final. The last final of the day, scheduled for 12:45pm at Serranos in the U19 category, will be played between Arrels—made up of players from clubs and areas affected by the recent DANA storm—and another Ribera Alta team.
To reach these finals, Saturday morning concluded the group stage, followed by the afternoon semi-finals. In the U12 category, Valencia defeated Tavernes Blanques, while L’Alcudia advanced past Norway’s NSU Norsk Spillerutvikling. In U14, another Norwegian side eliminated fellow compatriots Team JC, while the Ribera Alta team overcame Parkland Soccer Club from the United States.
In U16—arguably the most unique category of the tournament, featuring eight teams all from different countries, with no Spanish sides—Ireland’s Kerry Schoolgirls beat South Belfast YFL from Northern Ireland, while Germany’s FFC Turbine Potsdam defeated NSU.
Finally, in the U19 category, CD Serranos fell short in their semi-final against L’Alcudia, missing out on a place in the final. Arrels, meanwhile, secured their spot after defeating Mexico’s Tijuana FC.
Overall, nearly 600 players have enjoyed several days of youth football in excellent weather conditions in Valencia, with the tournament concluding this Sunday. The competition is supported by the Valencia City Council and its Municipal Sports Foundation, the Provincial Council of Valencia through its Sports and Tourism departments, and the Generalitat Valenciana’s Department of Sports and Comunitat de l’Esport. In the private sector, the tournament is also backed by Kappa and Prime.
